In addition to calling the insurers directly, if you are an older adult or a person with a disability you can call Connecticut’s program for Health insurance assistance, Outreach, Information and referral, Counseling, Eligibility Screening (CHOICES) at 1-800-994-9422 to speak with a counselor in your area. They will help you understand Medicare and other health insurance options.
If you are a veteran, go to the Veteran Services section of My Place CT as it features offices that can help you navigate and access the health services offered by the Veterans Administration.

Help may be available to you if you are living on a fixed income. First, you may want to go to the Services & Supports section of this website to explore the various programs that you might be eligible for that can help you save money.
You can also use one of the benefits screeners available by going to the Assess Your Needs page on this website and try the various screens, including Benefits Checkup, which can lead you to specific programs and supports that may be available for you.
